Ravi Shankar Prasad faces criticism, defends ‘sanctity to Muslims’ remark

Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is facing strong criticism from the Opposition parties over his remark that the government has given “sanctity” to Muslims even though they do not vote for the BJP. He defended his statement and said the BJP that believed in all-round development of the country and not in vote bank politics. The minister stressed that government “firmly” believes in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. He also cited incidents of Modi acknowledging services of Muslims from different walks of life.
