Political satirist arrested under IT Act for offensive media posts on Nara Lokesh

Hyderabad: AP Government flexed their muscles to nab the king pin of a persistent internet troll on AP Minister, N Lokesh and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. They have arrested political satirist, Inturi RaviKiran who is also a YSRCP party member. He is allegedly responsible along with few others for trolls that came in all shapes and sizes and many are not necessarily anonymous. The extraordinarily rise of social media over the last few years in India has seen an exponential rise in this kind of trolling behavior and general abuse, with cases of online defamation doubling year on year.
Around 12 AP police swamped Ravikiran’s house at Shamshabad at around 3.30 am and picked him in their car without informing the family. According to his wife, Sujana said that he was being nabbed for posting insulting satires on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, his son Lokesh.
