Modi government has taken many bold constructive decisions on Jammu and Kashmir, including the discriminatory “special status” in the form of Article 370 and bifurcated Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories — Jammu and Kashmir division and Ladakh division. As part of future plan, it is reported in the media that Union ministers will visit Jammu and Kashmir from September 10 as part of a special public outreach programme
As many as 70 ministers in the union government are likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir in the nine-week long programme of which at least eight ministers are expected to visit the Union Territory each week. They will interact with the general public and administrators. So far, after the abrogation of Article 370, at least 36 union ministers had visited the UT.
As per the Modi administration, the abrogation of Article 370 has brought unprecedented peace and progress in the region.
