Things have been slowly starting to work in favor of Deepika Padukone starrer Padmavati, with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) finally according it a U/A rating. And yes, the movie name will now be changed to 'Padmavat' instead of Padmavati, heeding to one of the changes proposed by the Censor board after reviewing the movie.
Now, it is widely speculated that the movie is gearing up to release in February. Despite some Rajput organizations warning of creating a ruckus if the movie ever releases, Sanjay Bhansali seems to be keen on releasing 'Padmavat' on February 9.
The long delay for the release of the movie, even after the Censor board's certification can be understood by the fact that the Bhansali camp is keen on working for publicity right from the beginning. The onus is now on the producer cum director to publicize about the movie in a right way, after all the distractions it has faced in the last one month. If everything goes well, we can see Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Ranvir Singh soon coming out for interviews.
Directed and Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Padmavat' narrates the story of a queen named Padmavati, whose husband suffers defeat at the hands of a Mughal ruler. The film depicts how the queen finally commits suicide in order to escape exploitation from the victorious enemy.
