Nandyal Assembly By Election Results: TDP Wins Huge
The most awaited election results for Nandyal by elections are out. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy won the Nandyal bye-election by over 27,000 votes. He won the elections over YSR Congress Silpa Chandra Mohan Reddy.
This is a huge victory for TDP as it has thought as a prestigious battle and precursor to 2019 general elections. The constituency has about 2.30 lakh voters and a record number of about 80 per cent exercised their right to vote on August 23. None of the postal votes were casted to any political party and 39 of them were invalid. This raised many concerns among political observers.
