My Poor Background Made Me Think Big: Says IAS Topper Gopal Krishna

Mr. Gopal Krishna, who used to walk 4 km daily to pursue  his schooling in Parasamba is now a IAS topper. His parents Apparao and Rukminamma were agriculture labourers . He proved that Telugu medium and distance education, poverty and social boycott of his family for 25 years could not affect his determination.
While working in the school, he got his B.Sc. via distance education. Many relatives and friends used to discourage him saying that it is not possible to pass IAS through telugu medium
Notwithstanding the discouragement, he wrote the exam, and achieved his goal in his second attempt and got 3rd rank. He chose Telugu literature as an optional in the mains and wrote all the papers in Telugu medium.
His parents expressed happiness and  hoped that their  son would control  land grabbing and help the poor people. Mr. Gopal Krishna expressed that his main aim is to help the downtrodden sections of society. . There was a festive atmosphere in the whole village on this happy occasion.
Simple living and high thinking is an ideal life style and it should become inspiration of the youngsters to achieve success in their career.
