Maria Sharapova gears up to return to tennis after a 15-month ban at Stuttgart Open
The former World No. 1, Maria Sharapova, will be overlooked when the French Tennis Federation announces its wildcards for the women’s main draw in three weeks time. Sharapova is coming after a 15-month ban for using heart drug meldonium at the beginning of 2016.
Her return has sparked heated debate across the sport after it initially emerged that she was expected to be handed a main-draw wildcard into Roland Garros next month.
