In the latest round of loan waivers in Indian States, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis announced loan waivers under the scheme of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Krishi Sanman Yojana. He said that the scheme will grant Rs 34,000 crore debt relief to distressed farmers in the state. This scheme is launched after two of initial announcement of loan waivers by Maharashtra government.
