Chennai: Lavanya Tripathi seems to be having a tough time with things not working in her favor for quite some time now. In the latest development, actress Lavanya was slapped with a fine of Rs 3 Crore for walking out of a Tamil Project ‘100% Kadhal’ - a remake of Telugu Superhit movie ‘100% Love’ acted by Naga Chaitanya and Tamannah in the lead roles.
Ambitious Lavanya walked out of the Tamil movie after signing a contractual agreement, only to act in the movie coming under prestigious ‘Geetha Arts’ banner. The movie produced by Geetha Arts will feature actor Vijay Devarakonda in the lead role. It is learned that the producers of 100% Kadhal did approach the Tamil Producers Council headed by actor cum Producer Vishal, who on hearing the complaint ruled in favor of producers by levying a Rs. 3 crore penalty on Lavanya Tripathi. It will be a huge loss for the actress, who is currently reeling under pressure with meager hits in Telugu.
The decision from the Tamil Producers Council also means that Lavanya Tripathi will not be getting any future projects in Tamil Industry! So, will Lavanya Tripathi pay the fine? Will she be completely thrown out of the Tamil Industry? It all depends on the help Lavanya receives from the mightly Geetha Arts, owned by Allu Arvind. Geetha Arts will have to convince the Tamil Producers Council to drop the penalty imposed on her. But, will the Tamil producers accept it?
