Jagan Targets TDP Government For Two Suicides

YSR Congress Party Chief and Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today lambasted the ruling TDP party for the death of unemployed youth in the state. Two unemployed people committed suicide earlier after they failed multiple times to get jobs. Naveen (23) hanged himself in the Anantapur and Palaika Gandhi alias Srinu (28) from the village of Mangavaram in Pillakarapetta Mandalam Vishakha district killed himself.
Jagan said that the ruling party had compromised its stand on special category status which would help millions of unemployed youth in the state. He added, ‘joblessness is pushing youngsters to take extreme measures, including suicide and the State is squarely to be blamed for the deaths as SCS could have created employment’. He said that the government has not fulfilled 1.43 lakh vacant jobs since bifurcation. He said that Chandrababu Naidu has sacrificed the special status for his vested interests which has resulted in this tragedy. He appealed to the youth to not to get desperate and take any drastic steps.
Chandrababu Naidu announced before the 2014 elections that if the Telugu Desam Party comes to power, unemployed youth will get jobs in the next three years.
