International Airport In Amaravati and Vizag, Private Sector

Amaravati and Vizag will soon get airports with all modern facilities at Amaravati and Visakhapatnam. These will part of the private sector initiative as informed by Chief Minister N. ChandraBabu Naidu while foundation laying ceremony for Greenfield airport at Orvakal. This airport is built in 1,010 acres at a cost of Rs. 90 crore.
Further, he said that the Government working hard to develop infrastructure in the State.
The Government of India launched UDAN scheme which aims to stimulate regional connectivity with flights covering distances up to 800 km through a market-based mechanism.
Mr. Naidu said his government is working to achieve the objectives given under UDAN and reviving the Kadapa airport and also plan to develop international airports at Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.
