The Congress party leaders were angry over the allocation of  sixth row seat to Congress party president Rahul Gandhi during  the Republic Day parade at Rajpat in Delhi. In contrary to the tradition, the BJP did not allot first row seat to the opposition party president.  Congress alleged that the BJP government is making cheap politics. Rahul Gandhi sat down next to Raja Sabha opposition leader Ghulam Nabi Azad.

The Congress Party Communications Incharge Ranindeep Surrejala said, “Modi’s government is a proof of the cheap politics, without giving the seat in the first row of Rahul Gandhi.  Sonia Gandhi was alloted first row seat last year. Party sources said Sonia Gandhi had been in the forefront of the Republic Day parade as AICC supremo in the past.
