Fire at Annapurna Studio, Manam and Sye Raa sets reduced to ashes

HYDERABAD: A major fire accident took place in the Iconic Annapurna Studios on Monday evening, reducing the sets of Manam and Sye Raa to ashes. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported as most of the staff left the studio by the time the fire spread in all directions.
Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, the owner of Annapurna Studios has rushed to the location immediately. While the actor felt happy as no one was injured in the fire mishap, he admitted that the loss of Manam sets will be a personal pain for him. The legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwar Rao spent quite some time at the sets of Manam, his last movie.
In addition to Manam, the sets of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ turned to ashes completely. It is rumored that the loss of sets may delay the release of Sye Raa, as the film unit will have to work on it once again from the beginning.
Established in 1975, the Annapurna Studios stand as one of the Iconic places in the Hyderabad city. Not only this, the regular affairs of the studio includes the shooting of several TV Serials, reality shows, and Movies.
