AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that there should be no corruption in the state under any circumstances and corruption should be eradicated. The Chief Minister on Monday held a review at his camp office on the eradication of corruption. He reviewed the Cabinet sub-committee report, IIM Ahmedabad report, reverse tendering, judicial preview etc. On this occasion, he said 1902 number should also be linked with ACB. Complaints of corruption from the village and ward secretariats should also be received. The system for monitoring complaints should be strong. There should be a strong enforcement department on incoming calls to 1902. The offices of the Collector should also be connected to this. There should be no signs of corruption in the offices of Town Planning, Sub-Registrar, Emaruo, MDO.
Even in cases where a person is caught red-handed while committing corruption and taking bribe, action should be taken at the specified time as per the Direction Act. The trial of some corruption cases has been going on for 25 years. There should be policies in place to take action immediately after being caught red handed. For this, a bill should be drafted to bring the law in the assembly.
