YSRCP MP Bhatta Renuka Joins TDP

Kurnool(Andhra): In a major setback to YSRCP, Kurnool MP Bhatta Renuka has decided on board the Telugu Desam Party. Butta Renuka won the MP election in 2014 from YSR Congress Party seat by a huge margin of 44,000 votes. Renuka will join TDP in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Renuka is the fourth richest MP with assets of over Rs 3000 crores as per affidavit. Earlier this year, Renuka’s hudband, Butta Neelakantam joined the ruling Telugu Desam party. There were rumors that Renuka will follow her husband and join TDP, which she denied repeatedly.
As per the reports, Renuka is disappointed with YSR party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after Nandyal bypolls which comes under her Kurnool Loksabha consultancy. It is said that Renuka joined TDP as she got insights that YSRCP is loosing ground in Kurnool district. BJP is very strong in the center and expected to come back to power in 2019 elections (if not in 2018). As TDP is in alliance with BJP, Renuka’s mobve is seen as a strategic gesture to win the 2019 elections.
