Tirupati: Friday laid the foundation stone for another high-profile hospital in Andhra Pradesh. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Tata Trust Chairman, Ratan Tata held the land pooja on Friday. The Tata trust is being constructed near Venkateswara Zoo. The hospital is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore in 25 acres of land allotted by TTD. The Sri Venkateswara Institute of Cancer Care and Advanced Research hospital will begin with 376 beds in the first phase of the entire thousand beds.
The hospital will also conduct research into the cancer treatment centers across the country, along with cancer treatments. The event was attended by ministers, TDP leaders, TTDC Chairman.
Chandrababu Naidu congratulated the Tata Trust for the establishment of Cancer Hospital. He said that Tata’s trust is doing things that the governments can not do. 124 hospitals are run by Tata Trust. Chandrababu conveyed that the Tirupati Hospital will become a hub for radiation therapy.
