AMARAVATI, SEPTEMBER 20, 2018
AP Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday alleged that the BJP conspired against the two Telugu-speaking States and wanted to get the advantage of divide and rule policy. Speaking in the A.P assembly on the occasion of introducing the resolution demanding special category status to the state, he further added that the BJP is trying its best to hinder the development of the State. He observed that the YSRCP is following the dictates of the BJP and if it opposes the BJP the YSRCP leader will face the same fate of Mrs. Shashikala of Tamilanadu.
The resolution demanding the Union government to grant Special Category Status (SCS) and completely implement the A.P. Reorganisation Act has been passed by the Legislative Assembly. Mr. Naidu, further observed that it was pure negligence of the Centre in carrying out its promises that compelled the TDP to break its ties with the BJP and go to the streets against the “misleading” politics played by its estranged alley. Out of displeasure, Mr. Nadu at one stage compared the BJP with British Rule and said that the British plundered the Nation’s wealth and gained huge wealth by way of taxes. He wondered whether the BJP will respect the people’s sentiment atleast now or further annoy them at its own risk.
