Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today met several Muslim group leaders in Vijayawada organised by TDP Vijaywada MLA Jaleel Khan. As per political analysts, this is regarded as a major move for the TDP to woo the minorities after break up with NDA.
Jaleel Khan, along with several Muslim leaders, met TDP chief at the Praja Darbar Hall in Amaravati. Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that “I had to take the decision in the larger interests of the state. However, I had never compromised on the secular principles,” speaking regarding his tie-up with BJP for 2014 elections.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu quit the BJP-lead NDA last week and proposed to move no-confidence motion against the Modi government. Naidu said, “What mistake did I commit? Is it a crime to ask for keeping promises made in the AP reorganisation act? Did I ask for the moon? With whom does the BJP want to fight with? With me? Or with the people of Andhra Pradesh?”
After the meet, Vijaywada MLA, Jaleel Khan, speaking to reporters, said that, “all the minority communities including Muslims, Christians, SC, ST, BC etct will support Chandrababu Naidu. People across the state are not ready to believe YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy”.
Regarding Pawan Kalyan, Jaleel Khan said that Jana Sena Party won’t even win 4 seats as nobody believes in his idealogy.
