Aarushi Talwar Murder Case: Talwars Walks Free After Four Years

The verdict on sensational case of Aarushi Murder is out. The Allahabad High Court acquitted the parents of Aarushi, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar in the murder case. Earlier in the the case, both the parents were convicted by a CBI court.
Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, were freed this evening after four years in a jail near Delhi.
Aarushi, 14, and domestic help Hemraj were brutally murdered in her home back in 2008. It was mostly seen as honor killing. Aarushi’s throat was slit with surgical precision and head was bludgeoned, while Hemraj’s body was found a day later on the terrace of the house. After conviction sentence back in 2013, Talwars approached the Allahabad High Court, to appeal the sentence. challenging this order that had sentenced them to life.
Noida Police who initially investigated the crime, allege that Rajesh Talwar had committed the crime after finding Aarushi and Hemraj in an ‘objectionable’ position. However, forensic evidence was inconclusive. Allahabad High Court acquitted the prime accused as there was not conclusive evidence and benefit of doubt was given to the parents. So the mystery will continue as to who killed Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj.
